1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
- Email address — required to create an account, sign in, recover access, and receive transactional notifications.
- Username / Display name — public identifier shown alongside your submitted apps and reviews.
- Password — stored only in encrypted (hashed) form using industry-standard bcrypt.
1.2 User-Generated Content
- App submissions — app name, description, link, category, screenshots.
- Reviews and ratings — UX rating, idea rating, and written comments about other users' apps.
- Referrals — referral codes shared and accepted.
1.3 Activity & Usage Data
- Credit balance and transaction history (submissions, reviews, downloads, boosts).
- Apps you have tried, reviewed, or boosted.
- Sign-in timestamps and device session information.
1.4 Technical & Device Data
- Device type and operating system (for compatibility and bug reporting).
- Anonymous app crash reports and error logs.
- IP address — used transiently for security, abuse prevention, and rate-limiting. Not associated with your profile long-term.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your account.
- To operate core features (feed, submissions, reviews, credits, referrals, wallet).
- To prevent fraud, spam, abuse, and unauthorized account access.
- To send service-related emails (account confirmation, security alerts, deletion confirmations).
- To improve the Service through aggregated, non-identifying analytics.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

4. Data Sharing & Public Content
Content you choose to make public is visible to other LaunchLoop users:
- Your username
- Apps you submit
- Reviews and ratings you post
Private data (email, password hash, payment history, credit balance) is never exposed to other users.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data only as long as your account is active. Once you request account deletion (see Section 7), your data is permanently removed from our active systems within 30 days. Anonymized financial records may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with tax and accounting laws.
6. Security
- All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
- Passwords are hashed with bcrypt — never stored in plain text.
- JWT-based session tokens with strict expiration.
- Servers are secured with industry-standard firewalls and access controls.
No system is 100% secure. If a breach occurs, we will notify affected users within 72 hours as required by applicable laws.
7. Your Rights & Choices
You have the right to:

8. Children's Privacy
LaunchLoop is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please email aviatravis320@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.
9. International Users
LaunchLoop is operated from the United States. By using the Service, you consent to your data being transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection laws than your country.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
